you’re just building while dragging the whole damn house…
You are not behind. You are not failing. You are not lazy. You are doing the absolute most with what you’ve got — and let’s be real, what you’ve got is probably half a tank of gas, a to-do list longer than a CVS receipt, and a toddler who thinks bedtime is a personal attack.
Listen: you are carrying an entire life on your back. Maybe more than one. You’re juggling daycare drop-offs, deadlines, bills, grocery lists, emotional breakdowns (theirs and yours), and somehow still managing to feed everyone and not completely lose your mind (thank you Lexapro). There is no GPS for this. No blueprint. No applause. But you keep showing up anyway.
So when it feels like everyone else is ahead — with their meal-prepped quinoa, matching sweatsuits, and two-parent households that we see on tiktok — remind yourself that you’re running a different race. Hell, you built the fucking track. You paved it with every hard choice, every solo decision, every night you stayed up figuring out how to make it all work. That’s not falling behind. That’s being relentless.
Take a breath. Take a break. Take up space.
Because the truth is: this shit doesn’t move without you. And the world needs to start recognizing that.
Cheers to you mama!!!
I know you have something to say, shoot it to me straight…
